Our client is looking for a Millwright to join the team. The purpose of the position is to install and maintain machinery to ensure maximum uptime. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Trade tested certificate as a qualified Millwright
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years applicable experience as a qualified Millwright
PLC and VSD experience will be advantageous
Induction furnace experience will be advantageous
Key Skills and Knowledge Required
Electrical and mechanical trouble shooting skills
In-depth knowledge of PLC and PLC programming on Delta and Mitsubishi systems
Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical panels and PLCs
Fault finding determination skills is essential
Problem-solving ability
Ability to read drawings
Communication and decision-making skills
Ability to work in a team or independently
Ability to work under pressure
Prepared to work overtime and standby whenever required
Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
Basic welding and boilermaking
Key Responsibilities
Normal and preventative maintenance of Hydraulic systems (presses, formers, pultrusion and
injection moulding).
Normal and preventative maintenance of electrical systems (distribution panels, control panels,
heating and cooling systems and electrical circuitry)
Normal and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment (gearboxes, pumps, chain drives,
couplings and alignment)
Fault finding and breakdown/emergency repairs (electrical and mechanical)
Basic welding and Boilermaking
Technical assistance to production and maintenance teams
Be part of continuous improvement
Implement planned maintenance and counter measures
Assistance with machine changeover and start-ups when required
