Quality Engineer required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in Gqeberha , Eastern Cape
Requirements :
- National Diploma: Quality or National Diploma in B-Tech Quality/City & Guilds
- 5+ years’ experience in quality in an automotive environment
- 2+ years’ experience in weld inspection and evaluating within an automotive environment
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry
- Read and understand technical drawings and/or plans.
- Weld Inspection Certification
- Core tools Certification
Responsibilities:
- Weld sample preparation. Cutting and polishing of the samples
- Record and maintain welding inspection results that were witnessed and prepare associated report
- Calibrate and verify gauges in accordance with the documented requirements
- Raising of quality awareness in terms of scrap concerns (Quality Alerts, Visual Aids)
- On time completion of all applicable first off, roving, and last off inspections
- Update and maintain the gauge calibration database. Ensure that all damaged and illegible gauges are
removed and replaced
