Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Sous Chef to join a popular Restaurant based in George.

Responsibilities:
- Directing the food preparation process and delegating tasks to the Junior kitchen team members.
- Cooking and preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with the company's standard recipes.
- Assisting the Head Chef to create menu items, recipes, and develop dishes in accordance with the Company owner's approval.
- Supervising all kitchen stations and daily setups in accordance with the Company's kitchen standards.
- Supervising, motivating, and working closely with all other Chefs of all levels.
- Ensuring health and safety in accordance with the company's set requirements and training courses provided.
- Being responsible for food hygiene practices and assisting the Head Chef with monthly audits.
- Ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes created as per the set recipe specifications approved by the Company owners.
- Assisting with determining food inventory (stock) needs, stocking, and ordering with the approval of the Head Chef.
Job Specification:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Competent level of English spoken and written.
- Reports directly to the Head Chef.
Skills and Qualities: In addition to the specific responsibilities, all good Sous Chefs should possess:
- Good knowledge of all sections.
- Ability to produce good quality food.
- Good oral communication.
- Team management skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
