Maintenance Manager
Hire Resolve’s client in the plastic manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team in Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure optimal productivity and equipment uptime.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
- Manage the maintenance budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with production managers to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to production.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among maintenance staff.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source necessary spare parts and equipment.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology.
- Provide guidance and training to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager in a plastic manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of plastic manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
