Job Overview
The SHEQ Officer is responsible for participating in and facilitating the implementation of SHEQ Plans, Policies, and Procedures. This includes measuring compliance and monitoring the availability and effectiveness of SHEQ Practices and Standards within the specific site. The SHEQ Officer will address, facilitate, and monitor proactive methods to adhere to all related SHEQ requirements as prescribed by the respective client(s) and relevant regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
• Matric.
• SAMTRAC and/or equivalent with more than 5 years’ experience in a similar operation.
• 10 years related work experience.
Specific Experience:
• Sound knowledge of external site environments.
• Fully integrated SHEQ management systems knowledge and experience.
• Managing groups of people.
• Sound knowledge of company policies and procedures, including relevant reporting and administration procedures.
• Operational requirements and strategic objectives setting experience.
Primary Component Supply and Capabilities:
• Structural Steel Manufacturing.
• Platework Fabrication.
• Mechanical Support Fabrication.
• Pressure Vessels and Pressure Piping Fabrication.
• Pipe and Fitting Fabrication, Mild/Carbon/Stainless Steel.
• Hardwearing Plates.
• HDPE Piping & Fittings.
• SMPP Turnkey Project work including civils.
• Green & Brownfields Work.
• Furnace Steelwork, fabrication, and Installation.
• Ducting (fabrication and installation).
• Fibre and Galvanised Grating.
• Handrails.
• Corrosion Protection to customer specifications.
