The Team:
The product team is growing within Black Swan and our mandate from the business is exciting. Grow our products to deliver double the users, spending more time getting value, and transforming the business to be product led. We’re a small and supportive team of Product Managers, Product Marketers, Product Designers, and UX Researchers/Behavioural Scientists who believe in cross pollination of ideas and learning. Whilst delivering work we look to bring the whole of Black Swan along to delivery empathy first, evidence based, and cooperative ways of working. All the things a great product team can do!
The Role:
As a Product Manager within our Trendscope, you will be responsible for the business requirements and translation of key product updates of our primary SaaS product we use at Black Swan. Working with a Senior Product Manager (line manager), Data Scientists, Engineers, and informed by other teams, you will prioritise and ultimately decide what we build and when. With a strong link to the why for customers, this Product Manager will measure value based on user outcomes with data.
What you will be doing:
- Working with stakeholders to help define product positioning, user personas and desired outcomes. Being the bridge between teams, so you’re equally comfortable talking with our Engineers, Data Scientists, internal or external stakeholders.
- Being able to translate both external user and internal feedback into structured user stories or tasks.
- Actively managing the backlog and developing a prioritization strategy to ensure we’re always working towards the right goals.
- Having a strong focus on product metrics, using them to get insights into customer usage patterns, and driving the most meaningful improvements based on real world feedback.
- Work with software development counterparts to define product release requirements and be the A+ in user story development, working in sprints and iterative release cycles.
- Be able to write detailed use cases and have strong stakeholder management skills.
- Be metrics-focused to ensure continued product success and evolve the roadmap based on real world feedback.
- Able to translate and aggregate customer feedback into structured product ideas, roadmap & backlog and plans to communicate the value of delivering a new service or feature.
- Actively manage the backlog and develop a prioritization strategy to ensure we’re always working against the right goals.
You will be a perfect fit if you have:
- 1-2 years of B2B SaaS product management experience, ideally with experience working with data-driven products. We’re open to other backgrounds such as B2C product management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with experience ofinterpreting data to prove assumptions and concepts.
- Must have the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge or experience of the market research industry or CPG innovation is a plus
