Alstom is recruiting for a Storekeeper position (Entry level post)
Alstom is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Storekeeper position under the Services Department. The position will report to the Manager Warehouse and is based in Cape Town.
Receive, Store, Pack and deliver material to ensure project satisfaction (material availability). In charge of physical material flow (goods reception, warehousing, line replenishment, packaging, shipping).
Key Responsibilities
- Apply the businesses’ processes and best practices in the following areas:
- Reception
- Inventory counting
- Packaging
- Shipment
- IT tools for Warehouses
- Apply the appropriate methodologies to improve the performance of the Warehouses and Operation delivery (APSYS)
- Apply rules to operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or N3 Certificate
- 3-4 years’ experience working in stores
- Valid Fork-Lift Truck certification
- IT literate with knowledge of Word, Excel
