Job Description
The Business Development Manager at Epsilon is tasked with driving the growth of Epsilon's data solutions within the consumer services vertical. This role involves engaging with C-Suite executives to establish a robust pipeline of prospective clients, leveraging an existing network within the Consumer Services sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing innovative thought leadership and presenting compelling data solutions directly to clients. Key duties include researching, qualifying, contacting, presenting, and closing new client opportunities within an assigned territory, aiming to meet annual sales targets. The focus is on delivering value-driven, client-centric marketing solutions to the Consumer Services vertical.
Responsibilities:
- Drive significant revenue growth by identifying prospective business needs and demonstrating how Epsilon's solutions can meet those needs.
- Qualify prospects based on company criteria for ideal customers and sales potential.
- Consult with prospects about their business challenges and requirements, offering a range of data solutions and explaining the cost benefits of each.
- Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations addressing core business issues and opportunities for the prospect.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams and third-party partners to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers.
- Manage accounts within your territory, building relationships with key marketing, merchandising, and media decision-makers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes within prospect organizations.
- Negotiate and close contracts with client marketing and legal stakeholders.
- Represent Epsilon and its brand positively in the marketplace.
- Conduct all sales activities with professionalism and integrity.

Skills and Competencies: - Senior-level hunter with a passion for prospecting, cold calling, and needs-based selling.
- Understanding of complex sales cycles, with the ability to create achievable milestones and follow up meticulously.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of making compelling presentations to diverse and senior business stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions using Salesforce.com.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close deals.
- Strategic, flexible, tenacious, and results oriented.
- Adaptable to a constantly changing environment.
- Expertise in consumer compiled data and transactional data for marketing analytics, profiling, and data targeting across various campaigns (postal, email, digital).
- Positive attitude with a continuous learning mindset.
- Expertise in foundational data sales for analytics and targeted audience activation across digital, social, advanced TV, and direct mail campaigns.
- Understanding of the benefits of enriching first-party data (1PD) with compiled and transactional data and its orchestration within various client platforms.
- Knowledge of data activation across all marketing channels, including DM, Display, Social, ATV/CTV.
- Familiarity with the data partner landscape, including DMPs, DSPs, CDPs, Data Clouds, and the ability to guide clients in data ingestion and appropriate use cases.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree: MBA preferred.
- 8-10 years of top-performing experience in a sales/hunter role, preferably in data sales or a related area.
