We are currently seeking a professional, confident, and solutions-driven Graphic Designer and Photographer with a flair for social media marketing. The successful candidate will have an exceptional portfolio demonstrating an in-depth working understanding of design across different mediums. This role requires ownership, getting hands dirty, and expanding beyond your skills and roles. This is a remote/work-from-home position. Key Responsibilities Content Creation : Develop social content and visual assets for publishing to social media platforms and campaigns. Design Work : Create compelling, on-brand, and engaging designs including but not limited to photos, videos, GIFs, etc. Adaptability : Quickly react to last-minute content changes due. Graphic Material : Design signage, digital campaigns, promotional materials, and other print and social media needs. Engagement : Create meaningful and engaging visual content that speaks to the intended community. Photography and Videography Quality Control : Ensure the effective and accurate delivery of final elements, maintaining meticulous detail. Artwork Preparation : Ensure artwork is correct and supplied in the right format/sizes/colour codes before being sent to partners, press, and production facilities. Marketing Creative : Design and create digital marketing creatives. Branding : Design and create branding assets such as logos, corporate stationery, presentations, etc. Trend Research : Research and identify new design and social media trends; make recommendations to the team. Ad Hoc Work : Be on call one weekend a month for ad hoc work. Additional Duties : Perform other duties as delegated by the owner and manager. Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail. Skills : Strong interpersonal and time management skills; must have strong verbal and written skills, ideally bilingual (Afrikaans and English). Attitude : A positive attitude towards tight deadlines and the ability to work well under extreme pressure. Technical Proficiency : Must be technology-savvy and able to use a range of applications and software like Office, among others. Fluent in design software like Adobe CC Suite. Experience in Corel Draw is highly beneficial; training will be provided if necessary. Equipment : Must have a full and adequate computer (not laptop) setup capable of handling high-level design software and online work. Must also be able to work during loadshedding Ie. Inverter etc. Owning your own camera will also be highly beneficial. Client and site visits: Photography and Videography on-site at clients Software Skills : Confident in software like Excel, and creating presentations in PowerPoint. Design Foundation : A strong foundation in brand design principles, composition, colour, layout, typography, and demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio. Independence : Able to work independently with excellent time management. Social Media : Experience in managing digital content across all major social networks. Collaboration : Think outside the box and enjoy a collaborative environment. Professional Experience : At least two years of design experience in a studio/agency environment (with references). Education : Tertiary qualification in design or related field, with a background in social media design. Disposition : A positive, calm, and kind disposition.
