*Lead Psychologist – Specialist Mental Health Service (Oldham) *
Are you an experienced *Lead Psychologist seeking* a new challenge in a rewarding role where you can make a real impact? Join a specialist mental health service and take the lead in supporting men with complex needs, including those who are deaf or have communication difficulties. In this role, you'll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team and benefit from ongoing professional development. You'll lead the psychology department in providing a variety of therapeutic approaches to service users, including CBT, EMDR, and DBT, and will provide guidance, support and supervision to your team of Psychologists and Assistants, including responsibility for mentoring and their training (with support from the Learning & Development Team).
*Key Responsibilities: Lead Psychologist*
* Lead and deliver psychological services for men with complex mental health needs, including assessments, individual and group interventions, and risk assessments.
* Provide a variety of therapeutic approaches (CBT, DBT, EMDR) to service users, tailored to their needs.
* Supervise and mentor junior psychologists and assistants, providing guidance, training, and support.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement treatment plans that enhance service user engagement and outcomes.
* Contribute to service development, clinical initiatives, and staff training.
* Support the recruitment and development of junior team members.
*What We’re Looking For: Lead Psychologist*
* HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, with Chartered status (BPS).
* Experience in psychological assessment, formulation, and delivering therapy for individuals with complex needs.
* Strong leadership and supervision skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing staff.
* Knowledge and experience working with trauma and delivering a range of therapeutic interventions.
* Ability to engage with a diverse client group, including those with hearing impairments.
