Job Overview:
The Global Distribution Manager (m/f/d) will be responsible for building strong, collaborative relationships with selected global distribution partners, developing a global distribution partner program and building a strong network of distribution managers within the organization to ensure above average sales growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the B2B distribution market for electrical components, ideally for connectivity solutions (cables, wires and connectors) and its market dynamics. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional sales and negotiation skills.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution partner strategy and distribution program to drive sales and market expansion in close alignment with all internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure above average sales growth of Lapp's distribution business together with other countries and the global online distribution management
- Establish long-term, strategic partnerships with selected key distributors to ensure mutual success and above average sales growth
- Identify new market opportunities and work with partners to penetrate them
- Drive & govern a regular distribution assessment to ensure a consistent global distribution landscape
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve partner performance, including training programs, incentive plans, and marketing support
- Define and drive POS data collection & maintenance process together with all stakeholders
- Work closely with internal teams, including Sales Companies, Global Online Business Marketing Communications, Product Management, Finance and Supply Chain, to align with overall business objectives
- Deep understanding of B2B distribution sales channels and the according market dynamics
- Several years of experience in distribution partner management, with a focus on the B2B electrical components market, preferably in the wire, cable and connector business
- Proven track record of building and managing successful distribution partnerships, including global partnerships
- Understanding of the different sales channels within B2B sales and their dependencies (omni-channel sales)
- Results-oriented mindset with a hands-on mentality, focusing on driving growth and achieving business goals
- Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills
