Minimum Requirements: - Grade 12
- Engineering Diploma / Degree
- 10 years experience
- Registered with ECSA
- Labour Intensive Construction NQF level 5 or 7
- Understanding GCC, FIDIC, NEC, JBCC
- Understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations
- AutoCAD, Civil Designer, MS Office literate
Duties and Responsibilities: - Support the engineering team to meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and junior engineers/technologists/technicians.
- Perform and verify calculations, specify equipment, and solve complex engineering problems.
- Check and verify designs completed by junior team members.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals, feasibility studies, options analysis, and master planning.
- Manage and direct design teams.
- Lead design teams on specific project components.
- Liaise with clients.
- Process survey and site investigation information.
- Apply general drawing control practices.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and lifecycle costs.
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.
- Prepare procurement documents.
- Write formal reports and present work professionally.
- Understand industry codes, standards, client specifications, and client expectations.
- Understand relevant legislation and regulations.
- Compile project documentation.
- Analyze and solve moderately complex problems aligned with organizational and project objectives.
