Introduction
We are looking to recruit a permanent GRN Clerk - Operations Inbound to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based at our Branch in Cape Town for the Distribution Inbound department and will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Job Purpose:
- Ensure that during the Operations Inbound GRN (Goods Received Note) process, GWDP (Good Wholesaling and Distribution Practice) is complied with, and that FEEFO/FIFO principles of stock rotation can be adhered to, and that UPD SOPs are followed.
Objectives: - Ensure that Supplier invoices are correctly, accurately, and timeously captured onto the UPD online system to meet stipulated service levels and cut-off times in terms of UPD SOPs and that the relevant packing away lists are printed before the products are packed away into the allocated bin locations.
- Ensure that GRNs are generated for products received on a daily basis and that GRNs captured balance to the supplier invoice by ensuring that the number of products and rand value of the GRN tallies with the number of items and rand value indicated on the Supplier invoice/delivery note.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in your allocated GRN/work station and ensure that necessary equipment is available and maintained in an orderly manner.
- Escalate and report any disputes or errors found/identified to the department head and the UPD Planner, and rectify and record them by generating the relevant claim documents before the end of each cut-off/shift while following GWDP and UPD SOPs when handling returns.
- Immediately report any breakages/spillages to the department head and Pharmacist, and ensure they are recorded and cleaned up promptly in line with UPD SOPs.
- Comply with and meet operational cost containment targets and stipulated cut-off times and deadlines.
Education and Experience: - 1 year experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is preferable.
- Experience in working with SAP and KNAPP systems will be advantageous but not essential at this moment.
