We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 6 in Project Management, alongside relevant scheduling qualifications and a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in project scheduling within (insert industry, e.g., construction, IT, engineering). The Project Scheduler will play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.) to ensure effective tracking and monitoring of project progress.
- Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to gather project requirements and set achievable timelines.
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts and risks, proposing solutions to mitigate delays and ensure continuity of project timelines.
- Generate regular status reports, progress updates, and performance metrics for stakeholders, facilitating transparency and informed decision-making.
- Assist in the allocation and levelling of resources, ensuring optimal utilization of team members and equipment.
- Ensure that all scheduling practices comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Actively participate in project review meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of project scheduling processes.
Requirements
Qualifications :
- NQF Level 6 in Project Management or equivalent.
- Relevant scheduling certification (e.g., Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent).
Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling within (specific industry).
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and management.
Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
