About the role: We seek a diligent and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team at the new Fluidra Pool Xpert store in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the efficient operation of the warehouse, including receiving and storing stock, maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling orders, and assisting customers. This position requires someone with strong organisational skills, a commitment to safety, and a proactive approach to maintaining warehouse standards.
Responsibilities:
Receiving and Storing Stock:
- Offload and receive stock from suppliers.
- Validate and check goods against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Put away stock in designated bin locations or shelves.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and movements.
- Ensure proper barcoding of products and shelving in collaboration with the office administrator.
- Conduct regular stock checks to identify discrepancies and minimise losses.
- Pick and dispatch stock for deliveries accurately and efficiently.
- Assist walk-in customers with their orders and inquiries.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders to meet customer demands.
Facility Maintenance:
- Clean the warehouse facility regularly to maintain a safe and organised working environment.
- Adhere to 5S or housekeeping standards to optimise efficiency and productivity.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Compliance and Safety:
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and company safety policies.
- Wear the provided personal protective clothing at all times.
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures for hazardous materials if applicable.
Assistance with Loading and Offloading:
- Assist with the loading and offloading of delivery vehicles when required.
- Ensure goods are secured properly during transportation to prevent damage.

About you:
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Knowledge of basic computer systems for inventory tracking is advantageous.
- Familiarity with OHSA regulations and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with regular working hours, including occasional weekends and evenings for special projects or deliveries.
- Work primarily involves warehouse duties but may also include assisting with customer service tasks.
