Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate Company vehicles to transport parts to designated locations.
- Respect and adhere to all traffic legislation, rules and regulations at all times.
- Respect and adhere to all speeding limits.
- Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload parts and other goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Verify orders and goods for accuracy before departure and upon delivery.
- Collect parts from suppliers.
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes.
- Inform customers about new products and services.
- Request feedback on provided services and any client concerns or queries.
- Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of Company vehicles.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete logs and reports.
Material Picking
- Retrieve materials from designated storage areas based on pick lists.
- Ensure accuracy by verifying quantities and inspecting items for quality and conformity.
- Report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or overages to supervisors.
- Assist with cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Housekeeping & Organisation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, aisles, and storage locations.
- Ensure that materials are stored in designated locations.
- Assist in maintaining security of warehouse/store.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric (essential)
- Valid Driver licence Code 10 (essential)
- PDP Licence (advantageous)
- 3+ Years in a similar position
- Proven driving skills.
- Good sense of responsibility.
- Good communication skills, positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map apps and general orientation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with emphasis on punctuality.
- Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience.
- Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Understanding of warehouse/store operations, including picking and packing.
- Strong organisational skills to maintain orderly storage and work areas.
- Always adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage and ensure product integrity.
