We are looking to recruit a permanent Finance Clerk to work within the Accounting and Reporting department. The role will be based at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town and will report to the Finance Manager I.
To improve the lease and fixed asset process of Clicks Group by assisting with capturing, reviewing, reconciliations, and investigations.
Responsibilities:
- Compile the monthly reconciliation of the lease accounting for entities within the Group
- Investigate any differences in the lease accounting
- Support the group accountant, financial manager, and systems manager in improving the lease accounting process
- Review contracts to identify if the system captured information correctly
- Assist with fixed asset take-ons, write-offs, reconciliations, analysis, and investigation, and raising journals
- Create electronic purchase orders for the Digital business unit and see the process through to payment of the invoices
- Other adhoc tasks
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
- Diploma/Degree in Financial Accounting (Essential)
- 1 - 3 years experience in a finance environment
- SAP experience (Essential)
