- To effectively perform and expedite all warehouse related tasks – binning, picking, packing, dispatching, and building of hoses.
- Ensure the Parts warehouse meets all customer parts requirements (internal and external).
- Ensure that all warehouse related items are completed to prevent any unnecessary specials which contribute negatively to operation costs.
- Operate handheld scanning device.
- Understand all targets and deadlines related to the warehouse.
- Ensure duties are carried out to achieve warehouse performance standards.
- Comply with specifications of order type by customer within time and quality standards.
- Carry out warehouse procedures safely within the framework of compliance to SOPs.
- Accountable for all warehouse assistant duties relating to KPIs and assembly of hydraulic hoses.
- Safety management - comply with OSHA/SHEQ safety requirements and conduct risk analysis before performing any task.
- Unload and unpack stock receivables, and bin stock receivables.
- Allocate new material for stock receivables.
- Perform bin changes to overflowing materials in current stock location.
- Pick outbound orders for internal and external customers.
- Pack and dispatch outbound orders for internal and external customers.
- Conduct cycle counting of current stock and bin audit in preparation for cycle count.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound trucks.
- Manage internal and external credit returns.
- Claim short receivables and manage block stock.
- Manage sales order stock.
- Control contamination, maintain housekeeping, and ensure 6S operating conditions.
- Report management.
- May need to solve customer-related queries at a low level.
- Ability to carry out stock count activities.
- Verify against HIS to validate correct specifications/requirements.
- Assemble hoses to Caterpillar specifications, tag hoses with correct information, seal and dispatch as required, and sign off hose assembly in hose register.
- Build hydraulic hoses per sample as required.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Matric/Grade 12.
- 1 year of warehouse and parts experience with understanding of technical fundamentals.
- Understanding of warehouse ERP system – SAP EWM.
- Understanding and compliance with warehouse SOPs.
- Forklift training required for some positions.
- Understanding of warehouse processes.
- Team player.
- Ability to work towards targets.
