We are seeking to employ x2 permanent Booking Clerks in our UPD Cape Town (Montague Gardens Distribution Center). The candidate will report to the Inbound Supervisor.
Purpose:
Responsible for coordinating inbound shipments of pharmaceutical products, ensuring accurate scheduling, and optimising efficiency in receiving operations.
Job Objectives:
- Coordinate Inbound Shipments: Schedule and coordinate the receipt of pharmaceutical products from suppliers, ensuring alignment with inventory needs and operational capacity.
- Communicate with Suppliers: Maintain regular communication with suppliers to confirm shipment details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Optimise Receiving Operations: Work closely with warehouse personnel to optimise receiving processes, minimise delays, and ensure efficient handling of incoming shipments.
- Manage Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of inbound shipments, including bills of lading, packing slips, and other relevant paperwork, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor Inventory Levels: Collaborate with inventory management team to monitor inventory levels and anticipate future demand, adjusting inbound schedules as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Resolve Issues: Proactively identify and address issues related to inbound shipments, such as delays, shortages, or damaged goods, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to find solutions.
- Maintain Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies related to inbound logistics, including safety regulations, quality standards, and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).

Job Related Knowledge:
- Essential: 1 - 3 years buying administration experience with inbound logistics, scheduling, or supply chain coordination, preferably in the Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Exposure to a high volume FMCG / Wholesale environment
