Introduction
Clicks is on the hunt for a Supply Chain Assistant. The purpose of the role is to place vendor orders in line with forecasts, distribute products to stores, and collaborate with the relevant planners on inventory issues to achieve targeted inventory and availability.
JOB OBJECTIVES
- To order inventory based on SKU forecasts to maximize inventory availability.
- To create and distribute DC to store specific allocations to maximize inventory availability.
- To collaborate with the planner on inventory exceptions (short/late deliveries, reasons for out of stocks, etc.) and assist with resolving the issues to maximize inventory availability.
- To liaise with the relevant stakeholders (DC, Vendors, Stores, and Category etc.) to resolve replenishment queries to maximize inventory availability.
- To provide ongoing updates to the planner on promotional stock flow to ensure inventory availability for promotions.
- To support and assist the planner with ad hoc inventory related requests.
- Generate and collate information and then apply sound business thinking to provide the category team with insights to assist the team to plan and manage the category effectively.
- To place new line, promotional, and pipe fill orders and/or other ad hoc orders to ensure inventory availability for promotions.
EDUCATION
- Diploma in Purchasing/Business Management
JOB EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years Planning experience in retail or other related working environments
- FMCG experience
JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge and understanding of planning & buying process including stock flow and stock availability
- Knowledge of planning systems and variables
- Knowledge of supply chain processes Clicks Group
- Knowledge of financial planning
- Knowledge of assortment management and range reviews
