The purpose of the Warehouse Clerk - Frontline is to conduct administrative and clerical duties in Frontline Dispatch.
- Job Objectives and Functions
A warehouse clerk is required to be able to perform any of the below functions based on operational requirements:
Management of customer orders in delivery & bulk cages
- Responsible for collecting orders from allocated bin/location and handing it to the frontline team to dispatch; creating orders to be released and distributed; and validating customer payments and order destination and handing over order to the courier.
Administration of credit notes
- Accountable for accurately capturing credit notes on the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and issuing the customer with a printed copy; and adhoc administration tasks in the customer & aftersales team.
Update system with stock details
- Responsible for verifying pallet identity and combining it to the pallet on the system; and printing out new pallet identification.
Invoice Generation
- Accountable for generating purchase orders, invoices, and other financial documents; and supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable by generating accurate, complete, and timely invoices using billing/invoice software.
Housekeeping
- Accountable for practising basic housekeeping principles to ensure that workstations are tidy.
Health & Safety
- Responsible for ensuring that health and safety policies are adhered to.
Qualifications and Experience
- NQF 4 Matric/ equivalent - Essential
- NQF 5 Supply Chain Management - Desirable
