Main job function
The provision of high-quality financial advice, management information and controls support to the Supply Chain Function with the objective of facilitating robust decision making that enables the delivery of the Supply Chain strategy and business objectives through:
- Providing commercial insights relating to future performance of the supply chain team by ensuring all budgets are tracked and performance measured.
- Ensuring key controls are in place and fully implemented and tracked within the supply chain function.
- Supports the Senior Commercial Finance Manager Operations (Supply Chain) in providing input to the SSA Operations strategy development.
- Custodian for business controls within the supply chain function – track SOX controls compliance/ cascade any changes for implementation and business risk reviews.
- Secondary Supply Chain (SSC) and Risk & Security (R&S) Business Partnering – provide insights on financial performance, forecast vs actual variance analyses, budgeting and inventory movements/ adjustments tracking.
- Support SSC and R&S teams with preparation of productivity initiatives and tracking of savings.
- Participation in negotiations with Supply Chain third party business partners to ensure the team has sufficient tools to negotiate.
- Management of SSA NCL governance process and consolidation of inputs for review and discussion.
- Financial management and review cost of goods sold relating to New Category products.
- Manage working capital (E2E FG inventory), Route to market investment & capex tracking in SSC.
- Preparation of financial reports on performance/ dashboards with commentaries on drivers.
- Update cycle meeting reports and decks – CP/DR/SOP/S&I/NCL tracker.
- SSC dashboards, compliance & KPIs tracking as well as end to end process reviews to ensure business process improvements are implemented.
- Support the SSC team with projects execution.
- Perform pre and post implementation reviews of all major projects, to ascertain whether expected benefits can be/were achieved and establish, and disseminate any lessons learnt ways of improving project management.
Qualifications
- Accounting / Financial qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
Criteria
- 4 years working experience in controlling / compliance / supply chain / manufacturing finance in an FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
- Good knowledge of an ERP financial system e.g., SAP/ Oracle.
- Strong influencing, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Project management skills.
- Successful embedding of business controls in the supply chain function and R&S.
- Proactive tracking of financial performance with timely detection of risks and sensitivities to enable mitigating action.
- Able to use financial information to support business diagnosis, strategy and decision making.
- Delivers on project milestones within required time frames and at agreed quality levels.
- Builds mutually beneficial relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Remuneration: R950’000 – R1.M pa
