What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Develop, maintain and control Quality Management Systems in line with local and international standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards and the supply of cost-effective quality products and services.
- Assist in the development of improvement processes for the various departments to reduce unnecessary quality issues & rectification.
- Prepare, review, approve, monitor and control quality control plans to ensure that the quality system and contractual quality requirements are adhered to and to make certain that the project quality requirements are communicated to the relevant parties.
- Conduct annual internal & supplier audits to ensure compliance to Quality Management Systems to identify shortcoming and improvements and identify potential sources of errors and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with the inspection and testing of work in progress to ensure that the product or service adheres to drawings and specifications.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to instil customer confidence and satisfaction in Howden processes, products and services in keeping with a professional organisation.
- Carry out quality training of personnel in line with the agreed annual programme thereby creating quality awareness amongst personnel which will lead to continuous improvement and development.
- Analyse data and provide insights to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor quality assurance/quality control personnel.
Your Education Should Be…
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Accredited Lead auditor on ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
- 10 years’ experience in a quality assurance and control role within engineering/manufacturing or related industries.
- Familiarity with quality control software and tools.
- Previous experience with regulatory compliance and audits.
- Proficient in MS Office environment.
