A leading financial services firm situated in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Wealth Manager to join their team. This role is perfect for a highly driven, entrepreneurial, and goal-oriented individual with a deep understanding of wealth management practices and procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for transitioning a portfolio valued at R250 million within two years, providing comprehensive financial planning and wealth management advice to clients, and maintaining a robust client base management system. This commission-based role offers the chance to work in a dynamic business environment.
Key qualifications and experience for the Senior Wealth Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or a related financial field
- Successfully completed a RE5 qualification and all supervisory requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the advisory space
- Experience in offshore investment and wealth management (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to engage both new and existing clients on a fee-based structure
- Deep knowledge of wealth management practices and procedures with the capability to communicate them effectively
- Proficient in product knowledge with the ability to convey a broad range of comprehensive financial planning strategies and solutions clearly
Key duties for the Senior Wealth Manager include but are not limited to:
- Transition a portfolio valued at R250 million within two years
- Oversee and manage investment accounts
- Provide comprehensive financial planning and wealth management advice to clients
- Employ a holistic approach to sustain long-term client relationships
- Deliver tailored, independent financial planning solutions that align with both short-term and long-term goals in international markets
- Achieve business targets through compliant practices that meet client needs
- Maintain a robust client base management system to ensure exceptional customer service and comprehensive financial guidance
