Production Geological Data Consultant (Bilingual in French and English Required)

The role
maxgeo is a leading supplier of data solutions to the mining and exploration industry. Currently, there is a full-time opportunity for a Production Geological Data Consultant to join our global team. Our head office is located in Fremantle, WA, however this role will be based at our branch in Johannesburg, South Africa.

- Exposure to automation of data processes and appreciation how this can improve business efficiencies
- Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills essential
- Practical experience in the mining industry
- Must be bilingual in French and English
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Client consulting and communication
- Compilation and support of geological and production database
- Assess data workflows and data quality
- Site visits (ability to travel)
- Provide insights and recommendations to clients and maxgeo
- Understanding and supporting maxgeo solutions
- Delivering training of maxgeo solutions to clients
Skills and experience
- Minimum of 3-years’ experience in mining
- Minimum 3-years’ experience with geological databases
- Working knowledge of DataShed is an advantage
- Tertiary qualification in computing science or geoscience is an advantage
- Exposure to automating data capture
- Willing and able to travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with excellent client focus
