To support the origination, structuring, and execution of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions by understanding the DCM product offering and processes and performing delegated duties within defined quality standards, risk parameters, and relevant regulatory requirements.
To own and manage workstreams on vanilla and structured distribution solutions across the distribution deal life-cycle, to contribute to the achievement of revenue targets while delivering exceptional client service and experience.

Experience of a graduate program in Corporate and Investment Banking, capital markets, or corporate finance preferred. An understanding of and interest in the financial markets.

Proficient technology experience and the ability to learn new software quickly. Proficient with Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups, and filtering), Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Stay abreast of news, research, and insights on the macro economy, market complexities, industry developments, and the client and counterparty base (e.g., headlines or news about clients). Research, capture, collate, analyze, and/or summarize relevant, quality, and accurate documents, data, and information (e.g., company financials, shareholders, value drivers, market trends, due diligence reports) for use by more experienced team members across origination, structuring, and execution workstreams.
- Attend client engagements with more experienced DCM team members, as part of the cross-functional CIB deal team, in support of the deal origination and execution process where required.
- Contribute analysis, financial models, and documentation support towards the financial and capital structuring of bespoke transactions.
- Contribute towards the smooth running of the function/team and support the effective maintenance of financial control within the team by developing an understanding of the business, monitoring financial performance and tracking P&L, and by preparing timely month-end reports.
- Develop a basic understanding of products and processes (i.e., how transactions are originated, structured, executed, and managed) to develop the capability to represent DCM in client-facing interactions and support the end-to-end provision of structured and bespoke solutions to clients.
- Establish own internal stakeholder relationships across CIB (e.g., Client Coverage, Investment Banking, Global Markets, Product Lines, Risk, Legal) to develop market understanding, industry knowledge, and execution capabilities.
- Implement applicable policies, systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with CIB risk and regulatory framework and fulfillment of all relevant risk and business control requirements.
- Manage credential materials, league tables, market updates, pitch books, and other boilerplate marketing materials.
- Pull together supporting documentation including circulars, working party lists, draft mandate approvals and committee forms, offering memorandums, engagement letters, term sheets, pricing supplements, and legal agreements while adhering to the risk and regulatory framework.
- Start to establish own external stakeholder relationships across various market practitioners including data providers (e.g., JSE, Strate, Rating Agencies, Bloomberg, Dealogic), lawyers, accountancy firms, PR, and Printers/data-room providers.
