About this role
The Asset Manager’s role is to ensure performance of the portfolio of PV & Wind projects by managing commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations. Responsibilities include overseeing and implementing all commercial and administrative tasks for each Project Company and providing support to the General Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Assume ultimate responsibility and accountability for SPV asset management, overseeing activities from financial close through the full PPA concession.
- Drive both financial and operational performance to ensure optimal project outcomes.
- Measure and ensure that projects are delivering returns as forecast.
- Assess operational performance and identify areas for enhanced performance.
- Take charge of driving profits through strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate the identification, development, and implementation of improvements in business processes.
- Monitor project-level profit & loss (P&L) activities and conduct analyses.
- Manage project insurance activities.
- Administer all project financing agreements and act as the key point of contact with Senior Lenders.
- Produce management and plant performance reports.
- Prepare quarterly board packs and host board meetings.
- Ensure each asset fulfills obligations under project agreements.
- Manage key stakeholder relations.
- Manage and compile monthly stakeholder reports.
- Prepare annual plans and budgets.
- Maintain documents in line with the team’s filing and project management system.
- Support the development team during bidding and financial close.
- Manage and support the social investment program.
- Provide structured financial and operating reports to the Board.
- Ensure compliance with insurance policies.
- Visit project sites and local communities as necessary.
- Manage relationships with landowners.
- Represent Mulilo in other meetings and formal structures.
Required skills and education background
- CA(SA) or equivalent financial qualification, or Engineering qualification with advanced financial acumen.
- Minimum 5 years strong and proven commercial experience in a South African infrastructure asset management environment.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Reporting experience to various Boards of Infrastructure Asset Companies.
- Knowledge and application of relevant compliance requirements.
- Detail oriented, with an ability to establish and follow processes.
- Understanding of PV and Wind system design and operation.
- Knowledgeable in the systems, processes, and protocols guiding utility scale PV and Wind projects.

Additional Information
Able to work overtime according to operational needs. The position is based at the offices of the company, but travel may be required occasionally.
