Our client is looking for an experienced Prophet Actuary for a model build project for one of their newer business units. The ideal candidate will be a qualified actuary with strong Prophet coding skills and expertise in cash flow modelling . The individual will work closely with the head of the relevant team, benchmarking the Prophet model against an existing Excel model while adding necessary functionality.
This is a 2 month contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and coding of a new Prophet model , benchmarking it against an existing Excel model.
- Incorporate additional functionality to enhance model efficiency and meet the business unit's needs.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the model meets all requirements.
- Test, validate, and stress-test the model for accuracy and reliability.
- Provide comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer for future use.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified actuary with significant Prophet coding and cash flow modelling experience.
- Ability to benchmark models against Excel and optimize the Prophet model by incorporating additional features.
- Exposure to employee benefit investment and pension products is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within set timeframes.
Work Arrangements:
- The client has a preference for a hybrid arrangement , but are open to a remote resource. Initial onboarding may require some time in the Johannesburg office. Travel costs for onboarding will be covered for non-local candidates.
- After onboarding, the project can be completed remotely, with flexibility around working hours and schedules.
