Position: Senior Financial Accountant / Finance Manager
Location: Fully remote in South Africa
UK Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Thursday), 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Friday), or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Our client, a leading organization in the UK, is searching for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
- VAT & Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of VAT and tax returns in compliance with regulations.
- Budget Preparation: Lead the development and management of financial budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Financial Forecasting: Prepare forecasts and analyze revenue trends to guide strategic decision-making.
- Transaction Recording: Accurately record financial transactions and oversee the general ledger.
- Balance Sheet Management: Maintain and manage balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Month-End Closures: Manage and perform month-end financial closures, including reconciliation and reporting.
- Audit Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes.
- Risk Assessment & Internal Controls: Assess financial risks, implement and maintain strong internal controls.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies during monthly, quarterly, and annual closures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial management or senior accounting role.
- Strong experience in VAT, tax, financial forecasting, and month-end processes.
- Proven track record in managing balance sheets and financial transactions.
- Ability to analyze financial trends and provide insights for business growth.
- Experience liaising with external auditors.
- Strong understanding of risk management and maintaining internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CA, ACCA, or CIMA) are a plus.
