Job Purpose
The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to render a Financial Support specific service to internal staff.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as passed subject; A valid (Code B or higher) driving license. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Recommendation
Relevant financial experience.
Key Performance Areas
Maintain the office's Integrated Maintenance Management System; Capture IMMS log sheets; Determine discrepancies and undertake reconciliations; Undertake journals; Report on IMMS to relevant in-house stakeholders; Perform month-end tasks; Maintain databases on Excel; Undertake basic financial management functions.
Competencies
Knowledge of Finance and Costing; Skills needed: Communication (written and verbal); Computer literacy in MS Excel and MS Word; Interpersonal; Problem-solving; Creative thinking; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Remuneration
R 216 417 per annum (Salary Level 5)
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to complete a practical exercise and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
