The ideal person will possess an N3 qualification, a valid Refrigeration Trade Test, and be an Authorized Refrigeration Practitioner Cat B Ammonia with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Other requirements and responsibilities include the following result areas:
- Skilled maintenance, installations, and repair in the Ammonia Plantroom.
- Responsible for all refrigeration, chilled water, and compressed air on site.
- Attend to refrigeration breakdowns.
- Preventative maintenance schedules.
- Willing to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends, and night shifts.
- Good housekeeping.
- Daily responsibilities include the whole make-up of the refrigeration system of the plant, checking amps, bearings, valves, and the cooling system for any repairs that need to be done.
- All electrical, mechanical & electronics of the refrigeration machines, etc.
- Implement safety and precautionary measures as Ammonia is hazardous and must comply with legal requirements.
- Monitor spiral temperatures in carton freezers and maintain cold temperatures at -40.
