Intro: As an IT Technician, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, responsible for managing networked computers, hardware, LAN, low-level server support, software, and printer environments. You will troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, ensuring seamless operations for our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for networked computers and manage related hardware.
- Handle LAN and low-level server support.
- Offer software support for various applications and systems.
- Maintain and manage the printer environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues as they arise.
- Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
- Matric
- A+ Certification
- N+ Certification
- Minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in a similar IT environment.
- Working knowledge of networks and network topologies.
- Hands-on experience and a willingness to learn.
- Proven ability to solve problems effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages.
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
- Must have own transport and a valid driver’s license.
- Experience with remote monitoring tools and remote support tools.
- Knowledge of VOIP systems is advantageous.
- Experience with hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with network security and firewalls is a plus.
