Time Conditions: 5 day Work Week (South Africa)
Purpose of Position: To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers/instruments in a clinical laboratory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Health Sciences Medical Laboratory Science
- HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
Required Experience:
- Experience in pathology laboratory environment
- Knowledge of Ampath QC procedures
- Knowledge of Instrumentation and Methodologies
- Knowledge of Meditech system
- Knowledge of MS Windows
- Knowledge of relevant pathology test procedures
- Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Switchboard functions in order to correctly refer client requests
- Assist with training client service employees to ensure competence
- Implement safety and emergency procedures to ensure safe/continuous working conditions
- Maintain good client relations to promote the professional image of Ampath
- Maintain provider and route dictionaries
- Perform departmental administrative tasks
