We're looking for a General Sales Manager to lead a dynamic team at an upmarket, reputable motor dealership. This role is all about driving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction while bringing an authentic brand image to life.
What You’ll Do
- Create and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability across new and used vehicles.
- Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to hit targets, optimize customer satisfaction, and ensure high-performance standards.
- Manage vehicle stock, including evaluations, trade-ins, and reconditioning.
- Collaborate with the Dealer Principal and Financial Manager on budgets and forecasts.
- Provide guidance on deals when needed and keep the team focused on growth and customer retention.
- Attract, develop, and retain a strong sales team.
Job Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- A diploma in Management/Marketing/Sales (Ideal)
- A valid Drivers License
- 3-5 years of experience leading sales teams in the automotive retail sector, with knowledge of both new and pre-owned sales.
- Strong understanding of the used car market, stock management, and vehicle reconditioning.
- Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with industry regulations (CPA, FICA, POPIA, NCA) and sales processes.
- Financial management and budgeting experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
