Main job function
Candidate will execute a variety of senior conveyancing paralegal duties of a confidential nature. These tasks will include working with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of the firm with a series of administrative functions.
- Registration of subdivision, consolidation and servitudes.
- Opening of sectional and township registers.
- Drafting of commercial bonds (mortgage and notarial) for institutions such as STD Bank, Nedbank, Investec, Grindrod, and African Bank.
- Handle all aspects of the conveyancing process, including document preparation, client communication, and liaising with relevant parties.
- Handling bonds and transfers with precision and efficiency.
- Facilitating and finalizing cancellations.
- Assist with property transfers and related legal procedures.
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of all conveyancing tasks.
- Maintain accurate records and files.
Qualifications
- National Diploma or equivalent.
Criteria
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience working in a conveyancing environment.
- Experienced paralegal with both transfer and bonds experience with FNB, Standard Bank, and Nedbank.
- Good command of the English language.
- Knowledge of basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Knowledge of FICA.
- Typing speed of 45+ wpm.
- In-depth knowledge of the full spectrum of conveyancing transactions is essential.
- Own transport essential.
