Job Description Manage Primary Health Care Clinic Services, providing care for the community and collaborating with social care providers. Managing the accreditation process and other quality and risk management activities.
KEY OUTCOMES (not limited to)
- Health promotion and Patient Care:
Treatment and care of people, involving interdisciplinary teams - Illness prevention
- Chronic illness management
- Education:
Providing education and support to other providers such as Doctors and administration staff - Community development
- Problem Solving:
In clinical or organisational contexts - Quality Control:
Organising clinical work environments, including infection control and risk management - Agent of Connectivity:
Being an agent of connectivity between different health disciplines and between patients and health services
Qualifications SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
WORK EXPERIENCE
- REQUIRED: 2 years in Primary Health Care environment, Emergency Care/Emergency drugs
- PREFERRED: Professional Nurse with Primary Health Care experience
EDUCATION: QUALIFICATIONS: ACCREDITATIONS WITH PROFESSIONAL BODY
- REQUIRED: Qualification in Primary Health Nursing, Registered with SANC and DoH, Certificate in dispensing
- PREFERRED: Qualification in Primary Health care
TECHNICAL SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE
- REQUIRED: Sound knowledge and experience in the provision of Primary Health and Emergency care, Document and records management, Computer literacy (Ms Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), Customer orientation, focus on excellence and teamwork, Ethical behaviour, Excellent communication skills
