Qwili Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper, finance administrator, or assistant with at least one year of experience to join our finance team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This role supports various financial tasks, including invoice capture, reconciliations, and assisting with financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inflow Management:
- Capture purchase orders (PO), ensuring VAT compliance.
- Assist in sales order (SO) fulfillment checks (VAT cautious).
- Help maintain inflow sanitation processes.
- Xero Accounting Software:
- Capture bills with a focus on VAT accuracy.
- Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring expenses and income are analyzed and reconciled.
- Reconciliations:
- Reconcile SASA (revenue received) accounts.
- Perform weekly Paystack, Payat, and Kazang deposit and settlement reconciliations.
- Reconcile Kazang deposits and commissions.
- Additional Support:
- Assist with any other tasks assigned by the accountant to ensure financial records are up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
- Minimum of 1 year(s) of relevant experience.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero or similar).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
