ProStaffSelect is in search of a Sous Chef who is an ADMIN & FOOD COST FOCUSED individual to handle kitchen controls, purchases & procurement, menu and recipe costings, staff and kitchen admin.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Cheffing qualification with at least 5 years’ experience as a Sous Chef
- Excellent admin and organizational skills
- Computer literacy will be essential in terms of dealing with stocks, menu and recipe costings, and gross profits
- A natural planner and systematic in implementing procedures, delegating duties, creating work schedules
- Excellent communication skills and highly computer proficient
- Passion for kitchen management – including all kitchen administration, general hygiene, and people management
- Thorough understanding of health and hygiene practices for food handlers
- Strong leadership and management skills with a calm personality when dealing with stressful situations
- Proven cheffing skills & creative working with a variety of dishes, special dietary requirements, Vegan and Vegetarian
- Exceptional knowledge of food preparation and food service for a variety of cuisine styles
- Highly focused individual who shows attention to detail
