An industry leading Bank has an exciting opportunity available for an Architect to join their dynamic team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose Statement
- Design and implement end-to-end solutions for card management and transaction switching systems.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define system requirements and business goals.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers and engineers.
Experience
- At least 5 years’ relevant end to end design and development experience.
- Proven experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and business process modeling.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and security protocols.
- Experience in cloud computing environments, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and DevOps practices.
- 3-5 years’ experience working with Card Management Systems.
- Proficient with Amazon Web Services.
- Linux Server.
- SQL Server/Postgres/Oracle.
- C#/Java.
- Familiar with containerization technologies.
- A thorough understanding of PCI DSS and ISO8583.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational.
Ideal or Preferred:
- A relevant qualification in Information Technology.
Knowledge
Min:
Must have detailed knowledge of:
- System architecture (technical design and implementation processes).
- Systems analysis and design.
- UML or equivalent modelling language.
- Technical Test Plan Design.
- IT systems development processes.
- Application development.
- Standards and governance.
Ideal:
Detailed knowledge of:
- Banking systems.
- Agile development life cycle.
- Knowledge of UML.
Solid understanding of:
- Bank’s systems environment.
- Bank business model.
- Best practices for Quality Assurance (QA).
- Object-Oriented Development environment (i.e. Java, Spring Framework, JBoss).
