The role:
You will be leading data analytics strategy and delivery across global projects and products. You will be responsible for complex technical problems and identifying solutions with minimal guidance and support. Your role is to deliver technical authority, with influence across multiple squads, disciplines, and projects. You will closely work with domain engineering managers to implement solutions for data products following the best technical practices.
What you do - Things you need for this role:
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade data models ideally using Microsoft technology stack (Azure Analysis Services, Power BI, Tabular Editor)
- Outstanding programming skills using some or all of the following:
- DAX, MDX, T-SQL, U-SQL, PySpark, Python
- Demonstrable experience working with CI/CD tools like Git, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
- Demonstrable experience working with Tableau, Looker, and other visualization tools
- Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Driving the best practices and new technologies in the team and the company
- Improving Data Quality – Designing processes that will improve data quality in work done by the data analytics team but also in other data departments in the company.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization within the data pipeline.
- Demonstrable experience in designing scalable cloud data architectures, particularly with data lake technology.
- Code Review - Raises the bar for the quality of the code in the team by reviewing core functionality and establishing the code principles and guidelines that are followed by the data engineering team and data community.
