We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the overall Food and Beverage service, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and F&B stores. Description: The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service and quality in all food and beverage operations. Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage the ordering, stock control, and presentation of all food and beverage items.
Key responsibilities include:
- Adhering to correct ordering procedures for all food stock and kitchen consumables.
- Enforcing effective stock control methods to maintain budgeted costs. Overseeing monthly stock counts and reporting results.
- Purchasing quality products at competitive prices and conducting regular supplier price comparisons.
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP principles and local food and beverage legislation.
- Maintaining presentation standards and timely service of beverages.
- Training the team on product knowledge and guest assistance.
- Upholding Occupational Health and Safety standards in all F&B areas.
- Managing the integrity of the Micros system.
- Conducting regular guest satisfaction checks and providing feedback to the team and General Manager.
- Updating cocktail menus, wine lists, and specials in line with brand standards.
Requirements:
- Grade 12/Matric.
- Hospitality Management Diploma or related qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Solid computer skills, specifically MS Office.
- Solid knowledge of Semper, Opera, Pilot and/or Micros.
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills.
- Clear communication skills via telephone and email.
- Teamwork and reliability.
- Professional presentation.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Deal breakers:
- 3-5 years’ experience in hospitality.
- Ability to relocate.
- Preference will be given to candidates living in the Paarl/Wellington/Franschhoek area.
