RCL FOODS is seeking a Millwright to join our Baking Division . The role will be based in Pretoria West and report to the Maintenance Manager .
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the machines do not deteriorate.
- Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
- Comply with Food Safety standards.
- Assemble, install and/or repair pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Ensure that your department complies with all Health and Safety regulations.
- Diagnose and correct mechanical issues.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine faults.
- Direct and train workers to install and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Record maintenance and repair work.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Participate in projects and machine installations.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Millwright Trade certification.
- 3 or more years of post-trade experience.
- Experience with PLC/VSD Drives.
- Experience with panel wiring.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Report writing and analysis skills.
- Experience in mentoring apprentices.
- Must be able to work shifts and be available for callouts and standby.
- Driver’s license with own transport.
- Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, and repairs of machinery such as mixers, ovens, proofers, conveyors, slicers, and packaging equipment.
