Network Administrator (3 month fixed term contract)
Managed Talent Solutions' client in the automotive industry is looking for a Network Administrator for a 3 month fixed term contract.
Education and Certification:
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, etc.).
- Knowledge of network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of SDWAN technology and connectivity.
Security Knowledge:
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience on Palo Alto firewall is an advantage.
Operating Systems:
- Proficiency in various operating systems, especially Windows and Linux (for Linux would be an advantage, not a preference).
- Experience with server operating systems and services (e.g., Active Directory (Basic), DNS, DHCP).
Network Design and Planning:
- Ability to design and implement network infrastructure based on organizational needs.
- Capacity planning and optimization to ensure network performance.
Communication Skills:
- Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues, management, and end-users.
- Ability to document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve network issues promptly.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
Time Management:
- Efficient time management to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Quick response to network issues and outages.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals, such as system administrators, security analysts, helpdesk support and 3rd party Vendors.
- The IT landscape is dynamic, and a network administrator should be adaptable to changes in technology and business requirements.

- Providing support to end-users and ensuring a positive customer experience.
