Job Title: Expeditor
Under the general direction of the Expediting Manager, you will be responsible for the on-time delivery of Radioactives and general equipment through the coordination of utilizing key tools (such as TIMS) and ensuring that relevant regulatory and legal reporting and documents are completed satisfactorily for efficient dispatching.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Expediting
- Order Tracking: Monitor the progress of orders, shipments, or projects to ensure they are on schedule and meet delivery deadlines.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to track order status, resolve issues, and provide updates on delivery times.
- Prioritization: Assess the urgency and importance of orders or projects and prioritize them accordingly to meet customer requirements.
- Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with Buying, suppliers, and vendors to expedite the production or delivery of goods and services, which may involve negotiating faster production schedules or shipping options.
- Documentation: Ensure that all necessary documentation, such as purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documents, is complete and accurate to facilitate the smooth flow of goods.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that products or services meet quality standards and specifications, even when expediting.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and address any issues or obstacles that may delay orders or projects, such as production delays, supply shortages, or transportation problems.
- Customer Communication: Keep customers informed about the status of their orders and any changes in delivery dates. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve expediting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce the need for last-minute rush orders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and production, to ensure a seamless flow of information and materials.
- Compliance: Ensure that all activities related to expediting adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Drive on-time delivery to customers.
- Receive sales orders from customer service and ensure that the requested delivery date and dispatch information is correct.
- Send order confirmations to customers.
- Update open orders sheet.
- Communicate with Internal Sales and customers on the status of their orders.
- Work with stores to get the goods to dispatch.
- Work with Buying, goods receiving, and pre-packaging to get goods to store.
- Work with Dispatch to get the goods to the customer.
- Maintain clear and accurate communication with all departments when expediting orders.
- Manage Source Loading and collection list (TIMS).
- Ensure projectors or transport containers to ship the Isotopes are available and ready to go.
- Forecast & Planning for future orders.
- Customer Service.
- Isotope supply management.
- Invoicing of all NTP container movements and penalties.
- Preparation of Documents for export orders – Isotopes and General equipment.
- Invoicing of isotope and general equipment orders.
- Maintaining of CMS profiles.
- Reporting.
- DU waste management and reporting.
- Safeguards.
- IMS stock take variance report.
- Status of orders.
Desired Experience & Qualification
QUALIFICATIONS:
- GRADE 12.
- Business Administration / Logistics Diploma or Degree.
- SAP One experience – inherent requirement.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 3 Years Experience in a similar working environment.
- Good knowledge and experience of administrative processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, team, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity and discretion.
- Responsive team player with the interest to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Logistics Experience (Exports and Imports).
