The Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Lead to work closely with our Global Head of Finance and senior finance leadership to define, plan and execute the integration of two separate finance teams into a unified Group Finance team. The role will focus on defining the future-state organisational structure, mapping out detailed functional diagrams, and ensuring a smooth transition to the new operating model. This role requires someone with strong experience leading enterprise Finance functions, who is capable of doing hands-on org design work in addition to building out and executing a plan.
Skills and Experience
What you’ll do:
- Integration: Lead the consolidation of two finance teams into a single Group Finance function.
- Organisational Design: Collaborate with the Head of Finance and senior finance stakeholders to define the target organisational structure.
- Functional Mapping: Develop a comprehensive functional diagram of the future finance team, including the definition of roles and responsibilities.
- Transition Planning: Create a detailed plan for transitioning from the current state to the target state, including milestones, timelines, and resources.
- Execution Support: Work with finance leadership to execute the transition plan, providing hands-on support and ensuring the project stays on track.
- Change Management: Facilitate change management processes, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and engaged throughout the integration.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly engage with the Head of Finance, department heads, and key team members to ensure a smooth and collaborative process.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the progress of the integration, including key risks and mitigation strategies.
Your expertise:
- Experience in finance within private equity or alternative asset management.
- Familiarity with large-scale finance system implementations or organisational restructures.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to post-merger finance operations.
- Strong experience in finance transformation, with a background in integration and organisational design.
- Strong knowledge of the finance domain, including finance operations, regulatory requirements, and best practices within finance functions.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience in developing organisational structures, functional mapping, and change management processes within finance teams.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across teams and influence at a senior level.
- Project Management: Expertise in planning and executing complex transitions with tight timelines and competing priorities.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex organisational concepts clearly and effectively.
