Ivanplats is looking for an Artisan, Boilermaker
IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills: - NQF 4 Relevant Trade Certificate
- Coded Welder would be advantageous
- First Aid Level I Certificate
- Basic Firefighting training
Work Experience: - Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a mining environment
Responsibilities: - Read blueprints to determine the location, position, and dimensions of mechanical structures
- Lay out prefabricated parts of larger structures before assembling them
- Assemble structures, often using robotic or automatic welders
- Replace or repair broken valves, pipes or joints using hand and power tools, gas, torches, and welding equipment
