PURPOSE
As a key member of the marketing team, the main purpose is to ensure that events and activations are designed and delivered in line with the business strategic goals and needs; always supporting and building on our brand and reputation.
You will engage with the following stakeholders:
- Marketing team
- Internal business units
- Customers / Stakeholders
- Suppliers
Your key responsibilities include:
- Event management
- Administration
- Financial management
- Stakeholder management (internal and external)
- Strategic alignment
- Brand management
- Identify trends and opportunities aligned with best practices around events
- Compliance and Risk management
- Innovative thinking
- Team collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE
- Three-year marketing qualification or similar
- Creative thinker
- Strategic thinker
- Understanding of the payments industry is desirable
- Effective project and event management skills
- Effective planning and organisational skills
- Sound computer literacy Levels: MS Suite
- Proficient English language skills
- Professional writing skills
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work under pressure
- May be required to work after hours and on weekends
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an events specialist role and events management
- Minimum of 7 years working experience (corporate, entrepreneurial or hospitality) in any industry (financial services would be advantageous)
- Evidence of successful events – e.g. product, business / corporate
- Digital marketing experience is advantageous
