Alulex (PTY) LTD, a leader in renewable energy, standby generators, air conditioning, and health & safety solutions, is looking for an experienced 3 Phase Installation Electrician to join our team. As part of our skilled team, you will lead and support various electrical projects related to electrical, generator, and solar systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Installation & Maintenance : Install, repair, maintain, and test electrical systems for electrical, generator, and solar equipment.
- Inspection & Troubleshooting : Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components; troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Repairs & Replacements : Repair and replace electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and panel building as necessary.
- Compliance : Follow National Electrical Code and local building regulations; ensure all work adheres to regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Corrective Maintenance : Perform corrective maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Documentation & Reporting : Read and interpret electrical diagrams; provide COC (Certificate of Compliance) certificates for completed installations; complete HSE documentation, job cards, time sheets, and daily/weekly updates.
- Administration Tasks : Complete SSEG applications for solar and generator projects; draw electrical diagrams and request job cards; perform monthly inspections of tools and vehicles.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical field.
- Trade-Tested Electrician with a Yellow Card .
- Valid 3 Phase Wireman’s License and registered as a DOL (Department of Labour) Installation Electrician.
- Valid Driver's License (Code B minimum; EB preferred) .
- Own reliable transport.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Willingness to travel nationwide for installations and projects.
- Strong project management skills .
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Computer literate and comfortable with digital tools.
- Previous experience in solar and generator installations is highly desirable.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
