We are looking for an Experienced Marketing Executive
Contract: Full Time
Salary: ZAR20,000 per month
We are seeking a passionate marketer to develop and execute the marketing strategy for our B2B virtual and in-person events across a variety of industries for one of our clients.
Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for generating and converting leads via online and offline direct marketing tactics to drive attendees and revenue for our senior-level conferences. This includes e-mail, social media, content creation, media partnerships, speakers, PPC, SEO and other online initiatives.
Working within a small team, the role is varied and will keep you learning daily. We believe in empowering people to do their best work in a creative, agile and supportive environment offering development and encouragement.

Originally set up to support large scale corporate companies through conferences, we are now an entirely different business offering additional support through digital and online services.
We run live events in the oil & gas, pharmaceutical, automotive and manufacturing industries, among others across the United States and Europe. Additionally, we run global virtual conferences and webinars.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Event Marketing and Brand Campaigns – Developing and delivering cohesive marketing campaigns that achieve targeted delegate registrations and revenue.
- Copywriting and Content – Creating dynamic and exciting copy for all marketing material.
- Lead Generation & Database Management – Generating relevant leads through database segmentation, partnerships and sourcing.
- Analysis and Reporting - Tracking the success of social media content, communications and campaigns, regularly generating ideas to improve results.
- Social Media and Community - Maintaining Customer Engagement online (particularly LinkedIn) with interesting topic discussions, active participation in conversations online, as well as repurposing and promoting content.
From the moment you join the business, you will receive one-to-one training and development with the Production Director, Sales Director and Marketing Director to ensure you perfect the necessary tools to achieve the business objectives, financial rewards and career goals.
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Min. 12 months experience working in a busy marketing/events environment preferred.
- Bachelor’s level education or equivalent.
- A passion for events and a can-do attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication - both spoken and written.
- Attention to detail, well organized with the ability to prioritize and re-assess workload in order to meet changing demands.
- Self-motivated, ability to work under your own initiative.
- Creative - ability to think around challenges, suggest ideas and new thoughts.
- Proven team player - need to be able to be relied upon to deliver on time.
