A well-established local and international business-to-business (B2B) franchise company is looking for a marketing assistant to assist in managing, coordinating, and implementing the various marketing efforts for the brand. The position has strong growth opportunities and is in a dynamic and interesting industry. The role will involve coordinating the marketing of the brand with various external service providers, and as such experience in dealing with agencies would be advantageous. The successful applicant must have the ability to work independently and provide regular reporting and feedback.
Required:
- Candidate must have an understanding of SEO/SEM and experience in website coding would be advantageous.
- Candidate must have graphic design capability and experience, preferably in Adobe Cloud/Creative Suite.
- Candidate must have the ability to plan the marketing efforts for a brand for a 12-month period, based on goals and have the ability to measure those results against goals and adjust accordingly.
- Candidate must be familiar with managing content on social media and providing updates for other online platforms (website/blog/PR).
- Candidate must have experience in providing training to people in Marketing and systems.
- A proven track record in managing the marketing for a recognized brand would be advantageous.
- Experience in using marketing CRM software would be advantageous.
- Experience in the signage or branding industry would be advantageous.
- Experience in the franchising environment is advantageous.
- Experience in dealing with social media and bulk email campaigns is advantageous.
- Experience in running both above and below-the-line campaigns is advantageous.
- Experience in creating, updating and managing a budget is advantageous.
- Candidate should be punctual.
- Have the ability to work as part of a team.
- The candidate should be accountable and be willing to take responsibility for their actions.
- The candidate should be willing to travel within South Africa for short periods of time.
